Hot Topic - New Designs that may help me make a sale. Reply

    Hi all,

Well, I've decided that it's time to dump my designs that don't sell - cars, soccer, etc... and experiment to find the hot design.

My market is Firemen, Policemen and selected sports type designs.

Any thoughts, ideas? I'll post here when I see some results.

That must've been a big decision, Fred.. you know My thoughts on your designs, so, sorry to see them go..

Only thing I can suggest at this point is to figure out what you're going to do Before you dump the designs. You've got to have an idea/theme/'something' to follow otherwise you wouldn't have chosen "Firemen, Policemen and selected sports type designs" - am I right? lol

Whatever you go for.. best of luck ;)

    Hi all,

I'll probably keep the 'dead' designs on astore but I've just added a test design of a local fire department. I've got the artwork done and I'll be adding a section where customers can use the base designs and I can change the text, colors, etc... to order.

Thanks for your thoughts. keep them coming.

    WOOOOOOOOO....

Please tell me that you are not dumping (deleting) your designs (unless there are "copyright" issues), just because they do not sell right now...

I personally like a number of your designs, but completely understand if you are no longer developing the themes (making more designs of that nature or expanding that particular concept), because they are not bringing enough income. But do not throw away minutes/hours/days/weeks/months of good work (time is MONEY), just because they haven't brought in enough sales yet.

We have NEVER removed any of our designs (unless there was a copyright issue). We have kept them, advertised them (we never spend money on advertising), and eventually sold them. As long as they are up on a site that costs you no additional money in order to keep them, then keep them.

Personally, the sites/shops/designs are yours to do with what you please, but it would break my heart to have all that potential income being thrown away.

Fred, I beg you, give me one month of advertising the shops for you. The gb-df is in test mode right now and bringing in traffic. I could easily (with your permission) add your shop(s). I will even take care of posting to Google for you. If you want me to direct it to your SVIP, it would take a few days, but if you are thinking of throwing them out, then what will a few days hurt?

    Let me know,

    PS
    As for the new theme...
    the "local heros" theme
    is very popular...

Fred Do you not make money with your svip site with others under you , or do you only use that to sell items directly to the public.

Anyways. I use a local company my self for the fire, police ,emt ect here in my town, because I hate to make them wait two weeks. But have also sold a few on ebay ,,

the I love my firefighter ect works ,

also I am currently working on a humor based line,
But there are so many that can work,

i would not get rid of your designs, just add to them is all

    good luck with that

    Hi PODS,

No. I am not having a copyright issue with any of my designs. It just appears that they are dead. I've tried ebay, WP with only one sale of a clock. So I thought I would try a new series of designs aimed at firefighters, police, and other occupations.

I know very little about marketing and I just don't have the time to try to start learning. I run a lot of websites, have an online school for printing, a printers association, old ads, local business directory, etc.... plus help out on numerous forums and take care of the stores that are under my SVIP program.

As you can tell, I spend way too much time helping, not enough time selling but it's my choice (sorta).

You are right. I have spent a lot of time getting the images ready, placing them in the stores, etc... Although I have had very few sales from my VIP store for most of these designs, to remove them would be foolish so I have decided to let them stay, for now.

I appreciate your offer and you have my permission to do whatever you feel would be worthwhile for my VIP store. Right now I have my hands full with stores under my SVIP account, especially since they saw the manual and how I treat them so that takes a lot of my time. No money as most are free stores but it's fun watching them grow. Just gotta figure out how they do it so fast. Maybe your Google is the answer, I don't know.

    Back to the subject.

As I also print my own t-shirts (white and lights), w and w/o pockets, sweats, etc... plus vinyl, my VIP store goes great with what I also do as I can offer a lot more products using the products from AN. This I offer to fundraisers, etc... Don't want to step on any toes here. I plan to offer my firefighter/police designs both here in my VIP store and from my website.

You are free to do what you think would work. I also am looking forward to your database thing for Google. I'll be watching for a post.

    Thank you,

    Fred

RE:RE:RE:Hot Topic - New Designs that may help me make a sale. Reply

    Hi DonnaMarie,

Yes. I do make a small profit from stores under my SVIP account. I do not sell anything from my SVIP store http://www.fun-tees.com . For this, I use my VIP store http://www.you-print-online.com

As I print my own t-shirts (white, ash and sand, w & w/o pockets), sweats, etc... products that AN does not provide, I offer 2 day service from both stock and custom products. Thus, selling local for me is a great advantage, especially with fast delivery on products I print. The black and dark t's from AN (and the other products), would still require the 14 day time frame so that MAY put me a a small disadvantage.

I have to re-do the artwork for the first firefighter design and once that is done, then I'll be working on the rest.

I have decied to keep all/most of my designs in my store, even though they are non-sellers...thank you PODS, DonnaMarie, Kelly, Steve, and everyone else. Guess I'll just add sections and take it from there.

Don't get me wrong. I wasn't down or depressed because of the lack of sales. It just made sense that if something doesn't sell, replace it. You guys and gals are right. It doesn't cost me anything so just add to my store.

Thank you for your thoughts and comments. Keep 'em coming.
