Building a website and linking it to your free store.. does this work Reply

Hi all I was thinking of creating some websites with a link to free store here on AN and was wondering if anyone does this and do they find it doing ok, I know it all depends on promting the site and marketing, just trying to see if anyone else has done this and if it seems to be working for them

I was thinking of targeting certain items for example a free store with all wall clocks and watches and create a website and then link it to the free store

    Hi Gary,

This is what I'm working on right now.

I have a website where I show classic car and truck ads from the 1900's to the 60's/70's. Lots of ads, lots of visitors (lots of downloads too).

    http://www.realclassicads.com

I'm starting to link text to my VIP store http://www.fun-tees.com/classicads for a few of the images. (After the VIP gets activated in a few hours, I'll be using my old url http://www.photo-wall-clock.com to send customers to).

As the website classic ad website is over 300MB (lots of ads), I'm linking only the cars/trucks that people are actually viewing for now. I'll get to the rest of the makes eventually.

I did this sort of thing years ago before I found AN so I'm working at it right now. This was just done a few days ago (adding the link to my store) so I've sold nothing YET, but I will.

I re-activated my SVIP program plus created a VIP store under it for better pricing. A few AN members previously asked me if I was going back to SVIP as they wished to join me instead of AN. Guesss that and my websites gave me the push to getback in the groove.

Hi Fred, I am using Google free website and linking to a new free store I am working on to sell only wall clocks and watches and if I see traffic going to it I may have to yet get another domain name and build it on my own host

Trying to make the free store more marketable and of course easier to have products avaliable since we upload designs all the time.

I would say yes and suggest a blog..as long as you keep posting everyday or every other day to keep the content fresh, blogs work very well. I would also suggest setting up a mini site on HubPages and linking to your site and blog, and also a youtube channel..hope it helps....anyone else got any marketing suggestions?
