Multi currency store Reply

    Hi all,

    Would any of you out there benefit from being able to provide multi currencies on their stores, maybe via a drop down box or something similar.

    Please post your comments as I am sure if enough of us ask that AN may be able to do something about it in the future.

    Bye for now
    Neil

RE:Multi currency store Reply

    ..hate to say it, Neil, but 'been there, asked that..' (a few months ago).
    Would be especially useful for UK / Euro members. After all, many buyers feel far more comfortable dealing in Their Own currency - much better odds of a sale, everybody wins.
    Unfortunately it was a case of No Response, nada.
    I hope you have more success (seriously)!

    Steve

RE:RE:RE:Multi currency store Reply

    Hi William,

    Thanks for your response,
    i know how to change the currency on the stores, what i am asking for is a store with a multi currency option whereby the customer can change the currency within the store.
    i.e I have a UK store in UK£ but get a US visitor, it would be good for them to be able to switch the currency to US$ via a drop down box, similar to Oz & Zen carts.

    Hope that makes sense.

    Regards

    Neil

    Great news.
    I WAS going to ask - 'Why didn't you mention this?' as it's an upgrade Many are looking forward to.
    But then I thought.. you'd only get people (like me) asking 'Is it read yet?, Is it?'
    If you receive a timescale for the mod could you update us, please (William)?
    Cheers
    Steve

RE:Multi currency store Reply

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your suggestion.
    We just added the Multi Currency Selector. with the selector , your customers can choose the currency when shopping.

    1. Multi Currency Selector systax :
    (#CurrencyControl)
    or
    (#CurrencyControl Filter="USD,EUR,AUD,JPY,HKD,CAD,GBP"#)
    or
    (#CurrencyControl Filter="USD,EUR,AUD,GBP"#)

    2. Choose the place you want the selector appear in your store (you should know a little html):

    Login ArtsNow ->
    All Stores ->
    My Template ->
    Customization ->
    MostTopHtmlBlock(or any other HtmlBlock) ->

    Put the control code (#CurrencyControl#) to Html Text , you can insert the control code to any place of your current Html Text ->

    click "Save"

    3. Go to your vip store, you can see the multi currency selector.

    Best Regards

    All at ArtsNow

    Fantastic addition & thanks for being so quick.

    All, if you want o se this in action visit http://www.mycustomlighter.com/Create/ShowProduct.aspx?ProductId=222

    This uses the syntax (#CurrencyControl Filter="USD,EUR,AUD,JPY,HKD,CAD,GBP"#) added to TopHtmlBlock as described below.

    Hi, is there any chance New Zealand Dollar (NZD) could be added to the Currency Control? I Live in New Zealand and would like to offer my customers the choice of seeing prices in New Zealand currency.

    Would be great to find out if this could be added.

RE:Multi currency store Reply

    So, I just implemented the Currency converter in my store, and it seems that the conversion rates are inaccurate.

    For example, a T-Shirt in my store is $14.99 USD.

    In the next list, the first number will be what ArtsNow converts $14.99 to in a given currency, and what this accurately converts back to USD$ (as of 11/16/2008).

    (Currency: ArtsNow Price =//= How this converts to USD$)

    British Pounds:
    £9.59 =//= $14.15

    Canadian Dollar:
    CA$19.34 =//= $15.65

    Hong Kong Dollar:
    HK$119.92 =//= $15.47

    Japanese Yen:
    ¥1,390.92 =//= $14.33

    Australian Dollar:
    AU$24.88 =//= $16.03

    Euro:
    11,99€ =//= $15.11

    This brings about two problems:

    1. Obviously, we would like these to be accurate. None of us want to overcharge or undercharge out customers.

    2. Does this mean that no matter where our customers come from, our CashDollar only increases as if they were purchasing in USD$? This is not fair, especially if you get a lot of traffic from Australia. Where does the difference go?
